Opwora happy that the team has secured a sponsor ahead of the new season and remains keen to push for the 2016 title

AFC Leopards chairman Mathews Opwora is adamant that the club is now capable of challenging for the league title.
Speaking in the wake of acquiring a new sponsor, Opwora said that was enough motivation for the players and fans to give their best this season and secure the title they last won in 1998. “I can confidently say that we are almost there, the team is very close in getting what we all want.
“Our main agenda when we took the office was to secure a sponsor, and now that we have one, the ship is slowly stabilizing and soon we will be in the promised land. Players needed this motivation to give their all and now they have it, no more excuses, performance and commitment is what is now required from them,” Opwora told
“The fans too, we need them in large numbers in the stadium to cheer us on, that way we can take (AFC) Leopards to the top of the league.”

Muhiddin: I will make Sserunkuma a top player again

Dockers’ coach Muhiddin happy with Dan Sserunkuma and believes he can revive his form and become a top player again

Twahir Muhiddin is confident that he can revive the career of Ugandan striker Dan Sserunkuma, who of late has faded as compared to his time at Gor Mahia.
The 2014 Kenyan Premier League top scorer opted out of K’Ogalo for unsuccessful stints outside Kenya before deciding to join the coastal town-based club. Speaking to Goal on Saturday, Muhiddin remained confident that the striker will blossom and help the club a great deal as they prepare for a busy 2016 season.
“It is all about discipline and hard work, that is what will take him where he was. I have revived some players initially like Tom Juma and John Baraza, they thought their playing days are over but ended up playing again.
"For example Tom Juma had even started coaching Gor Mahia before I signed him back at Oserian and he went on to become a very good player. So I hope Sserunkuma will follow suit.
“I am happy to have acquired the services of Bernard Mang’oli, he is an intelligent player who will improve us. He is technically gifted and I am aware of his potential, so I will try to help him develop and become a complete player.”
